Adding Shapes

Adding Shapes

To add a shape or other vectored object to the PDF, click one of the vector shape tools. Once created, right clicking on any object will also display a drop down, which will allow you to change the properties of an object.   See PDFtypewriter Object Properties for more information.

 

 

1 . Pointer Pointer

Click Here to activate the pointer tool. This tool will allow you to select, move, and modify objects in the document displayed.

 

2 . Whiteout Tool Whiteout Tool

Whiteout Tool

Click Here to activate the Whiteout Tool. The Whiteout Tool allows users to cover up data on PDF files which the user no longer wishes to be seen. This essentially adds a solid, white rectangle on the page as drawn out by the user.

 

3 . Highlighter Highlighter

Highlighter

Click Here to activate the Highlighter Tool. This tool will draw rectangles which will highlight what is under them. The color used will be the default highlighter color specified in the preferences.

 

4 . Line Tool Line Tool

Click Here to activate the Line Tool. This tool will draw lines of the specified width and color in the default preferences.

 

5 . Rectangle Tool Rectangle Tool

Rectangle Tool

Click Here to activate the Rectangle Tool. This tool will draw rectangles using the border color specified in the preferences. The inside of the rectangle will be transparent.

 

6 . Filled Rectangle Filled Rectangle

Click Here to activate the Filled Rectangle Tool. This tool will draw rectangles using the border color and fill colors specified in the preferences.

 

7 . Circle Tool Circle Tool

Click Here to activate the Circle Tool. This tool will draw circles using the border color specified in the preferences. The inside of the circle will be transparent.

 

8 . Filled Circle Tool Filled Circle Tool

Click Here to activate the Filled Circle Tool. This tool will draw circles using the border color and fill colors specified in the preferences.

 

9 . Arrow Tool Arrow Tool

Arrow Tool

Click Here to activate the Arrow Tool. This tool will draw arrows composed of lines of the specified width and color in the default preferences. The filled color will be used to fill in the arrow head.

 

10 . Pen Tool Pen Tool

Pen Tool

Click Here to activate the Pen Tool. This tool will allow you to draw freehand using a pen. This feature is especially useful for those using Tablet PC's and laptops, or computers with attached drawing tablets. The pen tool will allow these users to draw on their PDF files with ease. Users without Tablet PC's or drawing tablets can simply click and draw using their mouse.

 

 

11 . Properties Tool Properties Tool

Properties Tool

Click Here to view and edit the properties of a single selected object. This is the same as right clicking and selecting properties in the main window.

 

12 . Color Control Color Control

Color Control

Click Here to set the foreground or background color for added objects. Click the drop down arrow to set the foreground color to a preset color.
