Importing From Scanner

To import a PDF from a scanner, click FILE-> NEW / IMPORT-> FROM SCANNER (Twain Device) -> SELECT TWAIN SOURCE AND SETTINGS

Select the source you want to use as the scanner for PDFtypewriter.

Click SELECT.

Then click FILE-> NEW / IMPORT-> FROM SCANNER (Twain Device) -> CREATE PDF FROM SELECTED SCANNER.

This will activate the scanning software / driver that came with your scanner. Upon scanning in an image with your scanning device, it will be converted into PDF format and imported into PDFtypewriter.

PDFtypewriter now supports scanning in multiple pages from scanners with Automatic Document Feeders (ADF). Using PDFtypewriter and your ADF scanner, you can quickly and easily convert your paper documents to PDF.

Invert Image Checkbox

Check Here to invert the image after scanning. Some scanners, especially when scanning in black and white images, will reverse, or negative, or invert, an image. This means that sometimes documents with black text on a white page will sometimes scan in as white text on a black page. Checking this option will invert the scanned in image, returning white on black images to black on white and visa versa. Only check this option if you are experiencing color problems when scanning.
