PDF to DOC Help Files

Step 3

Step 3

In Step 3 of the conversion process, the more particular settings for the conversion can be specified. When all settings have been chosen, click the Next Button to proceed with the conversion.

1Pages To Convert

Pages To Convert Select either All or a Page Range to choose the pages in each file to convert to RTF or DOC. If "out of memory" errors are occuring, we recommend that you try to convert a smaller set of the pages using this option as Microsoft Word often can not handle the generated files, which are often much larger than their PDF counterparts (PDF files are quite compressed and well managed while Word documents often can not be being a linear, non-vectorized format).

2Handle Fonts Options

Handle Fonts Options Check this option to handle the fonts in the file. This will take a little bit longer, as the font names will have to be read out of the file, and then found on the system. If the font can not be found, the default font will be used. Choose a font from the drop down to select the default font. If fonts are not handled (the checkbox left unchecked), the default font will be used for all text in the file.

3Convert Images

Convert Images Check this option to automatically include images in the output DOC or RTF file.

4Convert Read-Only

Convert Read-Only Check this option to automatically remove read only attributes from files so that they can be properly converted to DOC or RTF.
